On April 24-25, 2022 the 4th Transnational Partner Meeting (TPM) took place at the Masaryk University Brno in Czech Republic. Representatives of all partner institutions came to Brno to discuss the final details of the LLM on Data Economy Law and the roadmap towards the final year of the project.
The meeting focused on the blended learning structure of the future LLM. The main goal is the creation of a program which provides on-site lectures where the participants may communicate and network with each other but also remote phases to offer a high degree of flexibility.
The first semester will consist of five on site weeks with a prior remote phase as preparation. After the on-site lectures the participants will have time to strengthen their knowledge during the second remote phase which will end with an online exam. In the second semester the five specialization modules will be focused on individual or group-oriented tasks of the students. Each module will start with a remote phase and will end in a discussion focused on-site week which will provide room to the students to explain their findings and results of the respective module task.
University for Continuing Education will serve as main location for the on-site weeks, but students will also have the opportunity to visit the partner institutions in Göttingen (Germany), Brno (Czech Republic) and Vilnius (Lithuania). These institutional visits will combine the adventure of exploring a new city with a local legal event or a workshop.
The public dissemination of the LLM on Data Economy Law will start in February 2023. This will be also the start of the official admission phase.
All participants of the 4th TPM express thanks to Prof Koukal and Prof Miska from MUNI for organizing and hosting a highly productive TPM in Brno but also finding time to make a visit of famous Villa Tugendhat possible for the DDM4SME-team.
